So Chris McLumo/Lumoburn/Big Yin, whatever nickname will settle, came up trumps today and thumped in two goals against Sheffield Wednesday to win the game.
Cack defending invited an out-of-form Yorkshire outfit to go into the interval 2-0 to the good. However, Pardew had some tricks up his sleeve (Yeah, Alan, can we start the first half by scoring three next time please?) as he brought on Zheng and Todorov, the former instrumental in the Addicks recording their first league win of the season.

Instant hero status for Iwelumo and another game in which Andy Reid proves his play-making and goal scoring credentials against mediocre opposition. Great also to see Zheng back doing what he does best, terrorizing the defence and unselfishly teeing up his team mates.

This is what the team needed, this is what the fans needed. Now that we know we can score goals, the only concern for Pardew now is how to plug the shockingly leaky defence.

Next up, Stockport on Tuesday, completing a month of 'S' teams and hopefully an injury free route into the next round...Lumo's surely got to start this one.
